Mine is now having this problem too. It's bad enough that the car is no longer safe to race. After making a pass, which I had to abort in 3rd gear, track officials stopped racing to see if there was something on the track. The problem is, I wasn't spinning. Hard acceleration had the car pushing from side to side violently.

My car is completely stock on the factory tires.

What does the wear on your tires look like? I'm wondering if possibly an alignment issue could also come into play...

After installing the BMR lockout kit the left to right under full throttle completely went away.

I feel it on the dragstrip well passed any speed where you would be losing traction. Its scariest toward the finish as you're traveling 120+. The odd thing is how it occurs. The car is accelerating perfectly fine, then suddenly the rear shifts to one side, causing a bit of steering correction. Sometimes it will hold steady and straight for a second or more with this bit of correction, then it suddenly shifts back to needing a straight wheel, or maybe even needing some wheel in the total opposite direction. I almost never feel this with the stock tires and when I do, it's very faint and really doesn't require any steering correction.

I always run with everything off or in Competitive Mode at the strip, so this doesn't help mine.
I have had this since I have had my car. I had it before & after mods, 3 different tires & 2 different wheels. I have had the car to 150 mph very smooth. I notice it most when going 40 to 70 mph, then hit it hard to wot. Feels like the car wants to chew up the road ( over powering ). I know these cars have an unbelievable amount of nannies to keep traction ( some that cannot be turned off ). I believe it is traction lost, which I can lose even at 70 mph, drag radials and 90 degrees outside. I had a 2016 2SS that was Magnuson supercharged, and worked with a tuner. Could not get all nannies turned off ( we worked on the road and he recorded broken traction when I could not even feel it ).

It does sound like traction loss in your scenario. Simply hammering the throttle at lower speeds like that will cause mine to dance around from spinning. What Dave and I, and several others are experiencing, is something totally different. It seems to start happening near mid track, where we are up to 90 - 100 mph, so we are definitely not losing traction at that speed with our stock cars. Especially on a prepped dragstrip. And it gets worse once you put drag radials on the car.

I've got some squeaky bushing sound coming from the right rear of my car anytime there is any kind of change in speed that I'm going to get the dealer to look at. I'll also have them check the alignment and adjust it if necessary. Hopefully between the two, this issue gets resolved or diminished.

If the trip to the dealer over this squeak and an alignment doesn't cure it, I'll be looking at the lockout kit. I've heard mostly good results from this.

I understand. I think I may try the lockout kit with my next mods - can’t hurt.

I found this to be due to poor alignment. The rear toe was slightly out, and with the steam roller tires on these things, slight misadjustments can make a difference at speed under power. Take it to a GOOD alignment shop and the problem should go away - it did for me.

Thanks Shawn! That's what I'm hoping.

The tires are worn but still have grooves. They will be replaced soon but I don't think they are the cause of my problem. The car isn't losing traction so I don't think it's a tire issue.

This was the main reason I only kept the car a year before moving on to the 1LE. 1000' mark on the drag strip was scary. The ZLE is rock solid all the time.

Even caught it on video once when the car was brand new.

I was able to get mine on the PDR too. I may need that video to show the dealership what it's doing. It's not something they'll be able to replicate on the cold streets. If they can't figure it out, the car will be gone. No need adding more power to a car that has questionable stability in a straight line.

Mine will do as shown by big dave above even in summer with my SC3's on it when I woulda presumed I wasn't breaking traction but several times I had to jump off of it when it oscillated...I call it. From about 50-55 WOT in 3d it would do it.

When I pulled those SC3s off for my A/S tires the fronts were noticeable heavily worn on the *outside* shoulder. Took it back in a week later for an alignment and the Front AND rear were toed-out, the front was really bad out of spec.

Front: Total Toe was 0.68, L:0.35, R: 0.33
Rear: Total Toe was .07, L: 0.03, R: 0.04

My car was bad out of the factory, just 17K miles on it.
