Random car wash

Anyone ever wash their car in the middle of the night?

No, I've started the process many a time and it last until ten oclock or later when I'm still working on the interior.

Does that include going through the car wash at the local gas station? Then, Yes!

Haha it happens more than I would like to admit to. When the wife and kids are asleep and you're wide awake... why not get drunk and wash the car?? It almost feels like I'm getting away with something. But it looks like a Turtle Wax crime scene in the morning... soap/water/sponges/buckets all over the driveway. One of these days I'll learn how to hide my tracks better...

I can't wash at night. I need to do a through inspection in the sunlight when I finish. However, my father in law did just that yesterday, after more than a few beers. He has my old car now and eventhough he just washed it in the morning, he decided it needed another wash.

I can save you some money. Instead of going through that car wash, eliminate the middleman. Scrub your car once, dry, with steel wool.

The result will be the same, and steel wool is cheaper than the carwash.

WOW! I have actually thought about it, but never did it fearing the wife would wake, and think I totally lost it.

Currently, we have water restrictions in effect. Now, my ONLY time to wash the car is at night. Yes, I am a wild outlaw.

I have washed my Camaro a number of times in sub- freezing weather, sometimes at night. Sometimes this happens when I START the wash in the late afternoon, at decent temps, but then Old El Sol drops out of the sky, the temp plummets, and BAM! Suddenly, everything freezes in sheets on the car. Nothing more to do except wait for the next day.
