GM is asking for the 100MPG rating from the government. It's hard to say what Uncle Sam will say. I have to agree with you fireresq157 I am still in the mindset of the SS being top dog.. Dont get me wrong I love the Z28 I had one and it was awesome but It was always the SS that was it. If they do come out with the Z28 maybe they will do the direct injection on the v8 with a supercharger? but there are way too many IFs floating around for anything other than dreams and speculation... there is something in the works that they aren't telling us about I would like to know what it is but with all the panic du jours and all the other crap I think they are going to be alot more tight lipped on anything new in the future...

It wouldn't be hard for them to put it out. They already have the CTS-V which is a supercharged LS3. So the powerplant is proven. Maybe throw in a HUD and Magna Ride from the Vette. Done. But it'll cost us. I'd say over $55k. But F*** it, it's only money right? Can't take it with you!!

the zr1 also has the 6.2 super chaged. and jermy clarkson loved that!
and james may eventually came around to loving the CTS V

If they were to make the Z in 2012 I would def. considering getting one instead of a SS after college as long as the Z wasn't like $60k+. I think if they are coming out with it, 2012 might be the year as that way they could have the V6's and SS's come out in 2009 and 2010, the verts in 2011, and then the Z28 in 2012.
