Cool LED FOG LIGHT OVER STOCK ON AN RS PKG

ACCORDING TO, "GM MOTORS," AN ON & OFF SWITCH IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THE RS PACKAGE FOG LIGHTS, BECAUSE THEY ARE CONSIDER DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS. SO I WOULD NEED A HARDNESS TO MAKE THAT AN OPTION??

SO WHAT IF I WAS TO REPLACE THE REGULAR STOCK RUNNING LIGHTS WITH LED BULBS, THEN THEREFORE THEY WOULD STILL WORK LIKE RUNNING LIGHTS BUT WITH LED LIGHTING?
?

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON EITHER OR?
WHAT WOULD IT LOOK LIKE WITH LED RUNNING LIGHTS?

Talk to Gen5DIY. They offer those LEDs.

Also, I don't think your text is large enough.

I'm glad I was able to read the massive text but my concern is more with the fact that you managed to mis-spell the name of the car you own. But to what was said above, you need a harness (or hardness if you're street) to make your DRL work as fogs.

I'm sorry but I am confused; aren't the driving lights the Halo rings? the Fog lights never come on for me unless I actually turn them on and I have the 2014 Camaro 2LT RS but maybe I will do LED for it haha and get a new harness so I can keep it turned on all the time.

The DRL Halos are only standard on 2014 RS package models. 2010-2013 models with the RS package used the fog lights as the DRL instead of actually functioning as fog lights.

Makes sense now. I kept wondering what the threads were talking about because my fog lights turn on and off with a button, like every other car I've ever had, lol

So, on 10-13's what do the Halos do and when/how are they turned on?

The halos turn on when the parking lights or headlights are turned on. The old halos were not bright enough to be used as DRL so they were just there for decoration basically when the headlights were on. on the 10-13 models there was no fog light button on the headlight knob like we have now for models with the RS package.

If it's short, shouldn't it be "maro"? You spelled Camaro wrong.

On my 2012 SS/RS one turn to the left on the headlight switch turns off the running lights.
One turn to the right turns on the halos. Remember this is a self return switch when in the auto mode so left and then right. This is as it has always been on the SS/RS per the fbodfather.
