Anybody have this happen to their key?

So was washing the car today and went to unlock the doors and when I pushed the unlock button this happened. Kinda sucks but I will just switch to my spare key. Button still works. Anyone know how much a new key fob will cost?

damn, never even guessed that could happen. but I don't think they're too expensive, and you can program them yourself if you have a working one. that saves you about an hours labor

I did not think it could happen until it did lol. But looking at the other buttons they all with the exception of the bottom key look like they are about ready to give. You can see how the others look sunken in but the bottom key that never sees use is still raised up more.

The warranty might cover the cost of it.

Nope, and I checked mine, and would guess that the ones with the autostart on them are different in more ways than just having an extra button. On yours I see a slight indentation under the icons that would prove to be a weak spot, on mine there is no such indentation, except for maybe a slight one at the panic button.

Mine did the same after 2 years. Recently replaced the key fob for 45$. Dealer wanted 120$ to laser cut and program it. I just transfered the blade from old key to new one and programmed it myself. Pretty simple procedure.

My dealer told me $150-$200 to replace one. Then, the finance guy wanted me to get a warranty for the key.

Never seen that happen before. I think a new fob would run around $75.
BTW, nice flight key ring. R U an Invicta Collector?
