LSA? with underdrive pulley

SO, If the Z28 gets the LSA, according to HPE and other packages available for the CTS-V, it is possible to get 700HP with very little mods.

I know many guys getting better 1/4 numbers with less, but the Z28 could be a 10sec car VERY VERY easily. Lingenfeltor has a package for 2,500.
The following is HPE.

Power:
• 707 hp @ 6,300 rpm
• 701 lb-ft torque @ 3,400 rpm

Performance: • 0-60 mph: 3.3 sec.*
• 1/4 Mile: 11.1 @ 128 mph*
• Top Speed: 211 mph (with 6-speed transmission)
* With optional 20 inch HRE wheel upgrade & 305/45-20 Nitto drag radial tires.

The V700 Package Includes: • HPE Cold Air Induction System
• Supercharger Pulley & Snout Upgrade
• HPE Engine Management Upgrade
• Long Tube 1 7/8 inch Stainless Steel Headers
• 3 inch Stainless Steel Mid Pipe Exhaust
• High Flow Catalytic Converters
• Intercooler Heat Exchanger System Upgrade
• V700 Camshaft Upgrade
• V700 High Flow Cylinder Heads
• 160 Degree Thermostat

Wait, wasn't there something about the LSA not being able to fit under the standard Camaro hood?

If this baby is all it's cracked up to be. It should be marketed to go after higher end cars tham just Mustang. Like Porsche, or maybe catch a real horse.........Ferrari! Just my opinion.

I'm not saying the picture is fake, or even that the test mule in the picture doesn't have a 6.2L supercharged V8 under the hood, but this is not remotely any sort of confirmation that an LSA-powered Z28 will be sold as a 2012 model.

There's no indication of the year at all (2012 is a good guess, but it could easily be 2013).

There's no indication that the pictured car is testing for the purpose of being the next Z28 (it could be a ZL1 or any number of other things).

It could be an LS9 (unlikely) or even some other yet-unknown 6.2L supercharged V8.

GM could test for a month or two and then decide that the Z28 should get some other motor instead (I'm hoping for a mass-production version of the LS7, personally).

It's exciting to see -- don't get me wrong -- but this is a LONG way off from a "confirmed" 2012 Z28.
Not in this life time.

yawn. . .so boring around here. . .what's this? oh it's a Z28. . .OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ222222222222222222222 22222222222222288888888888888888888888888. (doing the happy dance).

nay sayers eat my dust. so what if your s/c camaro can out run a stock Z28. it's still not a z28. . .lmao. even though it isn't exactly what I want I will take it with a supercharger. hopefully it has the magnetic suspension setup like the V/zr1. yep. . .not a bad deal. keep up the good work GM. handed a pig of a platform and turning it into lemon-aid. oh how sweet this is.

The way i see it is like this, By end of the year will know what is coming out, If its a Z28 with a LSA i think the price will be $44-$48K But if its a LS9 that number go's up to $57K,

Here is how i get to 44K+ First the rims There is no way GM put on 11" rears with out doing some frame work With 11" rears that only lives you 1" of room on the inside for travel, Next It has to have Better Bushings to handle the extra HP/TQ Next its lowered which means it has Good struts, I think it will come with 295/40/20 and 315/35/20 tires, Then theres the trans its not a 6L80 but the 6L85 like the CTS so that more $.

There is more things then that so it will be $44K and more, So where do i send the deposit, And i nice blue this time GM.
