Not sure what you mean by 2 engine choices. Variants of the Gen V will eventually replace all the current Gen IV's LS3, L99, LSA, LS7 and LS9 depending on application.

That's what I was trying to figure out. Is it going to be two engines or the two displacements with different components giving different performance? You get what I'm trying to say?

Yes expect a full family of Gen V performance based V8 engines to power the growing application needs from Chevy and Cadillac in North America starting for MY 2014.

They can easily take two engine displacements and make a wide variety of "different" engines to accomodate different need. For instance, in '67 the 327cid was available as 210hp, 275 hp, 300hp, 350hp and I think they still had the 365hp and 375hp versions also that year. In today's gen4 SBCs, there have been multiple versions of the 6.2L engine.
