What a joke.

My favorite part is that the "title" for the car listing is:
"Used 2011 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS"

With the description of:

"Z28 CAMARO-Complete exhaust upgrade, headers included, computer tweaked-pushing 538 HP! One of a Kind; with Hounds tooth '69 Repro interior! Sold new for $44,800...OMG it's yours for only $33,600!!! Come hear the unmistakable ROAR this engine makes!!! With headers all the way through, K&N Cold Air Intake System, 'Sweep you off your feet' fast manual transmission-and UNBELIEVABLE '69 muscle car look and feel!!! YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS CAR ON ANY OTHER LOT-CUSTOM MADE-CUSTOM DESIGN!!!! LOCAL, ONE OWNER, TRADE-IN-TOO MUCH CAR FOR ORIGINAL OWNER-CAN YOU HANDLE THE POWER???!!! Come take a test drive today!!! Please call us for more information."

LOL.

According to the OP, the DEALER (not the previous owner) added the Z28 badge, then proceeded to advertise it as a Z28 if you read the exact dealer advertisement.

Doing so as an expectation to increase profit is called copywright infringement. It would NOT be copywright infringement if they had put the Z28 badge on it then proceeded to advertise it as an SS, which is what it is.

Adding the Z28 sticker then ADVERTISING it as a Z28 in writing is where the law is broken.

I think this kind of advertising is exactly why dealers need to be held to a better GM standard. The poor public Joe can be fooled to spend more money on an icon with Internet dyno numbers. Give me a break a 100hp increase for headers intake tune and exhaust! Yes it problably can be done but I'm sure they did not pull the engine to dyno it and advertising it at 538 implys that. You could never get that much from the rear wheels without some undisclosed power adders.

I hate hearing this - I own 3 Z28s and think clones and tributes are ok and every generation Up till now has them. You can not clone a 5thGen as a Z28 because there has to be a 5thGen Z28 which there is not! I know my dealer does silly and dumb stuff to make money but this add is shameful - GM just say no if not for Joe do it because the lawyers should know.

WHAT I do question is 104 hp from a CAI and exhaust... do they have any dyno slips to prove it or is it that an estimate from doing mods and a tune

They are selling a customized car, I dont see the big deal or outrage about it.. Its a dealer version.. not licensed.. not sure its illegal to do that.. ?
This is what I was going to say. You could get that kind of increase from a turbo engine+tune and only then if you have turbo-back exhaust (in other words "total" aftermarket exhaust) and not just some stupid axle back or cat-back, but NA? No frigin way. Total BS.

that different though. after you own a car you can put whatever you want on it. now, if the dealer told you that it was a z28 it would be different, check on their site, it says 1ss. This was nothing but someone overexagerating and trying to get a bunch of S*&^ stirred up!
