Anyone cut the tips off the MRTv2?

My quad tips should be here Friday or early next week, they are bolt on and I am hoping I can do this myself, just wondering if anyone had cut off the tips on their own before.

Good excuse to go buy a sawz all. That is what I did when I wanted to install my MRT's. Brand new blade cut thru that stock exhaust like a knife thru butter.

Yeah, I cut my stock exhaust off too with a sawz all, guess it shouldn't be much more difficult than that really.

Be sure to post up some photos when completed. I want to see how that looks. What are you doing for the diffuser?

That's why I ordered the GFX MRTv2s.. No tip to cut off and plenty of extra to play with if the new tips needed adjusting.

I picked up a 1LE diffuser, I may have to take it to a shop though, not sure how well it will line up so the pipe might need to be bent, I will keep you posted though.

If you are doing quad tips, with the NPP/1LE diffuser, yes... The exhaust pipes will need to be bent and aligned to center up with the opening in the diffuser. My muffler shop had to refab some of the pipe to get everything straight and right.
Good luck!!

Great, I guess I better find a decent muffler shop. How much did that wind up costing you?

$150.00 but it was worth it. I went to my local Midas and they did a good job.
