Prevent haze on windshield?

For the life of me I can't clean my windows without leaving a haze. I've tried Invisible Glass using the Invisible glass windshield handle thing to clean and that was the worst haze I've ever seen.

I've tried to take a t-shirt and clean but it doesn't help much. I've even taken it to a local detailer and it still haze haze.

The best way to get rid of it that I've found was to run my finger on the glass! it works at getting rid of the haze but now there's finger greeze streaks all around which can't be easily removed with a cloth.

Any tips? It's hard to enjoy the ride when you can't even get a good view of the road while driving.

I had this problem with my old Toyota car. It wasn't until I used newspaper on the glass with vinegar and water that it was clean.

Give that a try if you haven't. (invisible glass with newspaper to wipe the windows)

This might be a dumb question but the ink on the newspaper won't smear or anything? I'll probably just swipe an old copy from work tomorrow and give it a try.

It's not a dumb question, I thought that too. The ink actually polishes the glass, and I am 100% serious.

I use Invisible Glass and a microfiber. Awesome stuff.
You can pick it up at Wally world or Target.

The haze is caused by a few things (I assume you mean the inside of the glass)

The interior panels and surfaces on new cars continue to leach out chemicals over time (this would be what new car smell is) everything from adhesives, to curing agents, hardeners, etc that are use to manufacture and treat all of the panels on the interior have an impact. This is why if you leave the windows up on a hot day the problem seems even more exaggerated.

The other culprit is interior dressings. If you apply products to your dash and they contain silicones when that product begins to break down (sun, heat, time) it will create hazing which will deposit directly onto the glass above it. So if you're using armourall or a similar product on the dash thats also a potential cause.

All you can do for now is to clean and clean often... as the car ages the problems will become less and less frequent.

I find that two cleanings help, then a third with plain water and a clean rag or paper towel.

Who has newspaper nowdays? I havent even seen one in ages. In any case, I have the same issue if I use invisible glass or windex + paper towels. I try to always use a good microfiber and scrub, not just wipe, the window down.
