The Camaro V6 automatic is quite impressive as compared with the comperable Mustang and Challanger; however there is also quite a price difference. It looks like they were testing the 2LT to me. I wonder if that was to get comperable option packages to the Mustang and Challanger?

Apparently that wasn't the track pack Mustang.

fyi the 2010 mustang hits more like 90-92g on the skid and 4.9-5.1 on 0-60. and 60-0 in 125ft? lol more like 107ft budd, thanx for grabbing the lowest number you can find though, as is said on this forum many times... "magazine numbers dont mean anything" lol no way you can tell me what u put up there wasnt totally lopsided towards the camaro. lets stick with reality ok? it's much better when you compare cars and actually use the truth.

here i will play your game?

Mustang Skid pad 0.91g
Camaro Skid pad 0.88g

Mustang Slalom 68.4mph
Camaro Slalom 68.6mph

Mustang 60-0 107ft
Camaro 60-0 109ft

Mustang 0.60 4.9
Camaro 0-60 4.7

how's that feel? fair? lopsided? you tell me.

Feels like your just a little salty the camaro is coming back. Numbers aren't right until you get them on the track yourself. Every magazine said it would kill every mustang (excluding the 45k GT500). I would bet even an inexperienced driver in a camaro, and an experienced driver in a mustang, the camaro would probably still win on the strip, just a guess, we will wait and see.

Sheesh. V6 Camaro beats the V8 Stang around the figure 8 test... Ford REALLY needs to put an IRS in that car if they want to remain remotely competitive. Getting beat in a combined handling/accel/braking contest by a V6 Camaro looks pretty bad, especially when you look at the accel and braking numbers and see where all the difference is made up.

How do you figure? The Mustang is quicker through the figure eight than the V6 and SS. According to Motor Trend:

Mustang 25.5 sec
SS 25.8 sec
V6 26.3 sec

they got 5.9 with the Manuel I think the genesis coupe 3.8 got 5.8

so its a drivers race right?

so really people cannot call the v6 all that slow ,because it lost to the genesis by one tenth of a second...

Yeah I was thinking I read the Mustang was better in the "ocho" as they put it. Maxdmax, I think you better revise that spreadsheet before you get smoked.

One thing I noticed was the tire size on the mustang and Camaro. The mustang has 255 tires on the front and back and the camaro has 245 in front with 275 in back. Makes me wonder if wider fronts would help? Are the mustang 255s part of the track pack? I think it was Motor Trend that shows the mustang having 9.5" wide rims all around. Is that where they are getting "better turn in"?
