A professional installer give a more consistent and wider spray than you can get just from a spray can. The spray can is ok for smaller pieces but is very difficult to keep it from tiger striping or may be uneven if sprayed on a larger surface.

This blue is my favorite!
Its possible to re-create just about any color and finish as they offer a glossifier, pearlizer and metalizer. Fonzi from www.dipyourcar.com does professional quality work and sells everything you'd need. I'm gonna dip my first gen Monte Carlo once all the body work is competed, the hell with paying $5-10k for a custom paint job especially for a car I only take out a few days a month and isn't even worth $10k. I've already used it on the front chrome bumper insert on my 1 ton Ram with great results. Next I'm gonna do my emblems.

Some of you guys just can't stand something different. It's just plasti dip for ****s sake. It's not even permanent. We see plasti dipped cars all the time on forums No big deal.
Based off of this one shitty picture on an obviously cloudy day I can't tell how good of a job that did at all. I can't really pass a judgement on this one, but a lot of times flat or matte black cars can look pretty mean. It's always something I guess. Back in the day I bet people bitched when they stopped putting chrome on the car. |

It's not for everyone, but I think Plastidip is a great thing. It's cheap to apply and holds up better than paint in a lot of applications. We have a few local companies doing it professionally and I have seen them do everything from Honda's to Big lifted trucks to GT-R's. It's a great inexpensive way to change the look of your car that is not permanent and you don't have to spend a fortune. It's also functional for track goers and people who drive their cars in the winter for paint protection.
Again, Not for everybody, but it serves a purpose. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
