2012 wheel has PADDLE shifters!!!

Did you know the 2012 wheel has real paddles for shifters? Not buttons but actual paddles. Another good thing about having waited for 2012.

Awesome for the 2012 owners! However, I still prefer my 2010

Handy I'm sure, but I still like the feel of gripping my shifter in my hand and blowing through the gears.
Paddle shifting (done it lots with the momo gaming wheel) is ok, don't get me wrong, I just like my manual.
I had a car one time (Ford Escort) and instead of the horn on the steering wheel where you could slam the heel of your palm into it and blast away, it was a fingertip button on the end of the blinker switch. Totally not the same experience and extremely unsatisfying to fingertip the horn.
Some things just ain't right, y'know what I mean, Vern?

I hated the wheel in my 2010 but now I don't notice it very much. The paddle shifters should be way better than the buttons we have now

While I agree, this thread is not about anything other than the new paddle shifters. It's not about anything else.

I like those paddle shifter more than the buttons just wish they replace the bowtie on the steering wheel with the camaro logo.

Now we need bigger, flashier aftermarket paddles. Anyone up for the task? Stick-ons maybe?

At least it has the SS or 45th badge on the bottom.

This is a very nice improvement for the 2012 yr. But you still have to keep your hands on the steering wheel to "tap". I used the "tap shifters 95% of the time on my '11 Camaro. That is why I purchased the aftermarket pistol grip shifter with the "tap" on the shifter! It is so much easier for me to use the "taps" on the shifter then on the steering wheel.

I wish I could find a better picture of this...I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of the one in my rental car last week...but take a good look at this steering wheel

Saw the aftermarket paddles, much longer and more useable looking then these. would be great for autocross, which is why my friend got them. Off topic, but the new after market wheels I think are the best way to go. better function and looks.
