A Dilemma
I had a great weekend getting my fill of driving my baby, and on my way to work today I realized that I put nearly 500 miles on it!
Now my dilemma is how to reconcile my love for driving this fantastic car with the reality that I'm putting crazy miles on it. Oh the humanity!!

Oh, I've got like 14k already... LOL I'm realizing though that I just can't stop looking at it or driving it for every little thing. Every little errand, I'm all "Yo, I got it!" haha

Or do what I do. Buy a DD (I have an 02 Impala) that I drive obviously all winter here in Buffalo but also any day it rains. The Camaro stays home in any kind of inclement weather, the miles stay off it, and it's that much more fun to drive again when the sun comes out a day or two later. Almost 14 months later and "only" 9700 miles on it.

A little over 7k and it was picked up on 3/24/10. I didn't intend to drive this car that much, but once I got it I couldn't let it just sit in the garage. I do have another car, that I keep for snow days.

My garage king is a little over 500 miles now, I love having the low mileage.

Just drive!
If you don't drive your new car it depreciates any way + a lot of components deteriorate just because time passes (everything made out of rubber, for starters, and a gazillion other stuff)
I you do drive it a lot then you are squezzing the living daylights out of it and also depreciating it because of the extra miles per year over the average usage, the appraisers refer to (I wonder where the heck they get that figure to begin with). This is called a "zugzwang" in chess , better translated for "damned if you do, damned if you don't" I personally think that Rogue Leader's advice is right on the money : use your car as much as you like to. Enjoy your ride and cherish the memories! Safe driving & happy trails, The Flash
