What bulbs did you use in the license plate lights?

Here is a little video of one of my lights being tested in a dark storage hallway. I used my cell phone for this so don't mind the shotty video and a 9V battery for power source:
How did you "mount" the LEDs into the stock connector base?

Just received the Creed 194 LEDs, now I just need to find the time to pull the rear end off.

Took a pair of pliers and pulled the 194 base off the LED bulb.

Pulled stock bulbs out of the mounting base.

Put the new LED bulbs in the mounting base. All you do is straighten out the positive and negative feeds on the bulbs. Put them in the holes on the mounting base. Use silicone to hold the bulbs in place and prevent corrosion. You'll see the stock mounting bases in my first picture.

The mounting bases just snap into the connectors.

So whats the verdict here, I just bought the Creed 194's, wasting my time in swapping these out or is there a better choice out there?

These diodedynamics look really long, are you sure they will fit with no modifications? Thanks.

The problem is there is no reflection. Unlike a headlight housing which has the reflective backing, the reverse light housings do not have that so any sideways pointed lights are just wasted and will fill in the area behind the bumper with light.

I tried to install the diode dynamics LED bulbs (ph16) I ordered from their web page. Well after pulling the rear end off and trying everything to install these bulbs, they do not fit at all on the 2013 ZL1. I called them and they said they don't have a bulb yet to fit the 2013 ZL1. They need to update their web page!! What a pain in the ass, so if you have a 2013 ZL1 don't waste your time!

I find it odd that the 2013 ZL1 would have different reverse lights than other Camaros. I know the rear diffuser is different, but I thought the rest of the bumper, including the reverse lights, was standard across the model lineup.
