SS to RS HID Conversion
I decided to replace the stock SS headlights for a pair of OEM HIDs. Researched in this forum and found out a new piece of wire harness would be needed for the job.
Now I finally got a pair of OEM HIDs and the new piece of wire harness (pictured below). Now I have no clue on how to connect this new harness to the car wires. Anyone can help me here? Regards, Alex |

The harness goes between your OEM harness and the connection on the headlight. The loose wire is the power for your halos you can wire that to whatever you want.

The loose wire you mean is the thin orange one?

I ran a wire to the fuse box under the hood so that the halos would be on when the car was running. Just beware that your headlights might flicker because of the DRL circuit, but I always turn the auto light control off during the day anyway.
The finished result is well worth the header panel removal, good luck. |

What do you mean by flicker? constantly or when coming on? Can this damage the HIDs? |

It doesn't happen all the time, but they will flicker constantly when it does happen, due to the lack of power from the DRL circuit. Supposedly there are capacitors built in to the harness to stop this from happening , but mine still does it from time to time. I was told that some cars do it and some don't

That black wire with the ring terminal is probably the relay ground.

Honestly tho, I don't think my harness has a relay, but I cant be sure. Maybe the relay fixed that issue, I bought mine from ottoman last year.
