Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club Website
I posted this in our social group area but not sure if anyone checks those discussions so I thought I would post it here:
OK, after talking to Derrick briefly and offering up to help out on creating a website for us I took a couple hours today and started mocking something up as a talking point. Really not sure what directing the majority wants to go in but here are the design ideas I had and we can adjust from there: 1. I thought a social site would be best (facebook like but tailored to us) that way content doesnt get old and is kept current and useful. 2. As far as graphics and colors go my first thought was something very bright and web2.0ish but then I thought what am I doing this is Detroit so I tried to go in a little more bad boy direction with it. Dark colors with what will be bright splashes of color which should pop. Again please dont beat me up too bad lol it was only a couple hours of work and it is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY rough right now the finish product will be free of any module or component logos and my photoshops will be much much cleaner. Here is the mockup that I have done so far - http://www.drinkdetroit.com/. Right now its just hosted on an old domain i had laying around. Which brings me to my next question out to you guys. We need to decide on a domain name. I checked and Detroit5thgen.com is available if thats what you guys want I will grab it soon as I get the word. Also content... if you guys have any suggestions, write-ups on relevant content, photos, logos, or ideas please let me know and hopefully we can get something put together that is both functional and fun to use. P.S. I have it all locked down right now so you cant log in obviously that would change when we go live, really I'm just checking to make sure the direction I'm going is good with everyone.

Dude. That is so sick already. I know we can tweak it, but it's off to a great look. I registered detroit5thgencamaroclub.com yesterday and just did a basic site layout if you want to check it out. We could definitely apply your layout to that site. Let me know thanks!!

I will set it up and get working a bit more on the site this week when I have some time. Glad you guys like it even in its rough state. I will get it much cleaner once its moved over to its new home and I get some time to work on it.
