Honestly, skip the nickle and dime mods, chasing 10-30hp for hundreds of dollars gets old quick. I did it, ended up going TT and couldn't be happier. I was like you, wasn't sure of my finances right out of school, decided to take the "smart" route and get a v6. With the money I've put in, I could have got a slightly used ZL1. But honestly if by our stuck in the v6, just go FI and suspension which will make you very happy until you pull up next to a SS with a good exhaust, I may have 100 more HP than him, but I'm still jelly.

Fact: The LT/ LSs V6s want more power
The SS V8s want more power The ZL1 SC V8s want more power. Juice up what you have and be happy. There's a big differance between the reliable daily driver with some get up and go and the monsters with hardened internals/ cam/ super chargers, beefed up rear end and fuel pumps that are constantly being worked on. Someone's always gonna be faster than you. Enjoy what you have instead of wishing for what you don't!

If you can't get all the money together upfront, just save it until you have enough to trade in your v6 and put a down payment on the SS. You'll never get the fun of a V8 out of that V6.

Yeah! ZL1 or bust! But then you gotta Cam it, and add headers, and high flow cats, and hardened internals, and 1,000hp rear end, and NOX...... And only then will you be truly happy! ..........

It's your CAMARO......you do what YOU want. You NEVER said you were trying to build V8 power. NOBODY seems to get that point. When the V8 beats you in the straight line race, by who cares how many car lengths. Just keep saying more money was spent to do just that. ENJOY your RIDE as you make it for yourself.

Yes it is boring modding a V6. Look at my car V6 I've modded. I go to the track and only spend 12.03 seconds before the fun is all over. Most of my V8 friends are on the track for more time than me running 12.3 - 12.5. <--- Yes Sheldon that is sarcasm. Have fun with your CAMARO however you want to. After all it is a CAMARO.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned yet but I think a good first mod for the Auto would be the Vitesse Throttle Controller. It will completely change how your acceleration feels for only $180. After that I would say A Cold Air Inductions CAI and Cat-back Exhaust. I went with the solos as they sound awesome, aren't obnoxiously loud and have built-in drone cancelling.

Check out my signature for my suggested modifications. I did it in steps, looked to get the best bang for the buck, and sought to simply improve the responsiveness and looks.
Have fun modding. I'm still not done...
