Question - Would I have to get rid of my catalytic converters for this kit? Cause here in Delaware they do emissions check and slide a mirror under the car and look for the converters during annual car tags inspections.

Unless something has changed with the Overkill S/C kit there would be no reason that this would involve your exhaust system at all.

sixtyseven, no need to remove the cat converters, I've spent a decade and a half tuning supercharged 3800 Grand Prixs and many cat converters fail with aftermarket superchargers simply with poor tuning.

All the emissions remains the same otherwise, even the catch can system is set up to provide closed loop with no venting. The only emission issue is California CARB compliance, we're not in a position to pursue anything there, so use at your own discretion.

We're shipping the first two production kits tomorrow, are installing a 3rd here at the shop, and have completed a retrofit on a 4th already. The Overkill system IS A REAL SYSTEM THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY!!! The sale will continue only for a short time longer as we get more Vortechs made and more aluminum machined, and get the new shop set up to convert to supercharger production.

Thxs for the info.

Now
More questions cause I haven't much knowledge about S/C kits. Does this kit include detailed installation instructions? I'm pretty good with a wrench, I've rebuilt an engine before and do most of my mechanics. I'm assuming it's something I should be able to install over a 3 day weekend or so without any special tools required?

Yes it should be able to be installed most definitely in a 3 day weekend.

I have gotten to the point now where i can have my kit on and off within 4-5 hours. If you are half way mechanically inclined, wont take much time at all.

As for instructions, I know Tracy is working on some as we speak. I will be doing a full install thread/how to as soon as my parts get here as well.

The 2016 Colorado takes our 8 rib top mount Eaton TVS based system:

Shoot Will (Overkill) an email or message for pricing.

From what I am hearing and seeing, it is BONKERS.

Throwing this out there. Possibilities of you guys putting together an upgrade/conversion kit for those that have other systems?
