It's bright orange I tell you...
I cannot believe it, but tonight, on the way home my eagerly anticipated, on again, off again pre ordered 2011 Camaro 2SS was rear ended. :(
I feel sick. It's 6 weeks old with 1400 miles on it and someone drove into it on the freeway in stop and go traffic. It's not bad, and will be easily repaired, but I am just so mad, that this car that I have worried over whether I'll get it or not, my dream car, has just been violated by someone. Come to find out that the driver, doesn't own the car he was driving it was his friends. He had an insurance card that showed it was valid till Nov 2010. So I got home, and called my insurance and his insurance, and get told by his insurance, that is it no longer current and was cancelled back in May. So I have to wait for a call tomorrow to even find out if he has valid insurance to claim on. Ugh, I am so frustrated. And I know you all say, it didn't happen if there weren't any pics... so here you go. As I say, it's not bad, just annoying that it happened so soon into my Camaro owning experience. It can be repaired, probably a new bumper and repaint the trunk I guess.

Ahh that blows. It's minor but still a big inconvenience. Maybe you can take this opportunity to upgrade? I came extremely close to getting rear ended when an idiot failed to yield right of way and turned left in front of me on the highway last week. I slammed on my brakes to avoid him and luckily the truck behind me turned and slid up beside me instead of into me. Caught a big break there.

that sucks man, gotta be glad it wasnt worse though, what mph was the hit at about? When we got in our accident with our durango, the saleen mustang that rear ended us at 50mph the front end was ripped off it and our rear bumper cover was only slightly dented on the bottom of it. Im just suprised the durango had that much damage. But i feel your pain though.

Thanks everyone. I would have to guess the guy was doing about 20-25 mph or so. I mean it was stop and go traffic.
When I asked what the 'f' happened, he said that he was driving too close and was 'mesmerized' by my license plate, wondering what CUPRA meant. I really hope that his buddy has insurance on the vehicle. I even got a pic of the insurance card and the guy who hit me as well, but I guess I shouldn't post those on here. He was a big, tattoo'd guy, I am not big built at all, but he sure looked shy when I stepped out of the car, arms wide open shouting 'what the f are you thinking, hitting my 6 week old effin car'!

That sucks bro, I get pissed if someone pulls up too close to my rear bumper when on a slight incline at a stop light or sign....lol She'll get fixed up nicely I'm sure, and you can enjoy her again!

I'm dreading the day... I hope it never comes. I honestly don't know how I would react. The metro area in Denver has a HUGE percentage of uninsured drivers. Some of which would have no problems running from the scene. The person who runs from hitting my Camaro is going to regret that for the rest of their life.
Sounds like you did everything you were supposed to. I assume you called and reported it to the Police to have an accident report filed? They should have issued him a citation too so they'll have an address (real or not is another story). But it'll catch up to him if he tries to run and not pay for it. At least the damage looks minor for you. More on his car than yours. Haha.
