Engine light is on!!!! Help

Have an SS with automatic called onstar and they said the vehicles engine was not emitting exhaust properly.... everything is stock... what. Causes this and can I fix at home or do I need to head to dealer.

Take it to the freaking dealer. There is your answer.

Some threads on here are so ridiculous. It's a new, stock car. Take it to the pros.

Figured it might be something I can fix in a matter if minutes , rather than spending, I mean wasting my time at the dealer .
When I become independently weathly and enjoy sitting in dealer waiting rooms like you....I stop asking ridiculous questions

It is definitely best to take your vehicle to a dealership for proper diagnosis. There could be many reasons why the engine is not emitting exhaust properly. Please let me know if you are taking this route.

OK after the wife spent 3 hours at the dealer , the answer is in. A bent exhaust vent flap.... no idea what that is , but the part is on order.... they also said this is why your getting 10mpg... so once this is fixed, WE will will see a 5 MPG increase I HOPE

True and false my time was nit but 2 hours and 55 minutes of the wife's was wasted while the car sat there where she left it parked.... in 5 minutes they pulled it in hooked iT up told her what was wrong and then she left
