I agree the base LT1 is a compromise of power and mileage. This allows the LT?'s to be concerned with power and more power.

Ummm I dunno, I would think that any 5th gen Z/28 would look a little different than the ZL1, but I was surprised that the 1LE looks too similar to the ZL1, but it is still distinguishable by the splitter, matte black hood and spoiler

Lightweight is all relative, Z/28s were never lighter than a smallblock SS unless the SS had auto tranny and AC. That said, the 5th gen. ZL1 was in the opinion of many to be too heavy to be a Z/28 as it weighed about 300 or so pounds more than a 5th gen SS.

I plan on one more performance chevrolet but am torn between the new corvette and a new Z/28. Heres my choices:
1) ZL1/Z28/S2000 2) ZL1/Corvette I am really leaning toward the Z as I like the size of the car-not sure I will like a "downsized" gen 6 camaro.... What's everyone think? I know, I have hard choices... |

...I am torn between making another risky financial move against all monetary sound judgement such as I did trading in my mint condition 2002 35th Anniversary SS Camaro with 2,800 miles and obtaining a dream car ZL1, and then potentially trading in the ZL1 on a Z/28 when it arrives and it is suitable to my liking.....and taking another loss...but, Camaro Nirvana does not come cheaply..., and...you only live once. Money is subjective when it comes to ones happiness.
