Kevin had Pat G spec a turbo cam for his personal car. Put it in a customers and that car made 1100 with ease and idles/drives perfect. There are plenty of proven turbo cams. Tick, BTR, etc all have a good turbo cam. I would just call up Pat G, spec out what you want and have a cam 3-4 days later. His stuff always works.

Before I got the BTR cam I did some research on the GT9. Comp Cams and others mentioned it was a high ramping cam. It could be a little noisy and cause excessive wear to valve train. All the research and forum reading kinda scared me out of that one. Some people have a lot of success while others nothing but valve train issues. I'm sure its like anything installation was probably done incorrectly. I did notice the people that get the nightfury usually are instructed to change the oil every 1500 or so and use some type of zinc product like cam break in additive.

Some Cams specs I found vs the POS displacement BTR III

BTR POS Stage III 231/248 .617"/.595" 120+5

GT9 215/247 .629"/.656" 121

BTR Stage II Turb 226/235 .605"/.610" 114+5

BTR Stage III Turb 230/235 .609"/.610" 114+4

BTR Stage IV Turb 234/239 .612"/.610" 115+5

BTR Twin Turbo 226/235 .605"/.610" 114+5

TICK Performance Stuff:

Stage:
1 223/231 | .61x”/.59x” | LSA115+5
2 227/235 | .62x”/.61x” | LSA115+5
3 235/243 | .63x”/.62x” | LSA116.5+6

When I drive over there later I'll ask them.

I still say just call Pat G and have him spec you a cam that is perfect for your goals/needs. Stop looking at off the shelf.

I will help you out here.

223/239 610/623 114 a great match for the LS3/L99 Heads and works well in a wide range of both N/A and forced induction applications along with both long and short runner intake port PD blowers.

We have other versions for different Heads, intake runners and blower types.

We also have a nice turbo grind that I am keeping under wraps for now.

You can always call me for a cam recommendation.

Ted.

I was wondering should I get anything ceramic coated. The speed shop mentioned they usually do on certain parts. They are really excited about this kit and build when I talked to them today!

All the hot parts in our kit are ceramic coated. So the only thing left would be your manifolds and heat shields.

Like AGP said, all the parts that benefit from ceramic coating come coated, in the base kit. No added expense. Only thing would be your stock manifolds if you wanted but the factory heat shields on them work great.

Any real benefit to do that on a daily driver and doing roll races occasionally? or save the money else wheres.. Is it gonna make the engine bay any cooler.. I all ready invested into a ZL1 front and hood to help move some air through.(originally bought it to help eforce lol)

I also wanted to say thanks for making such a great kit and doing things like the coating upfront.. When I was deciding between this and the helion. I ask about 5 speed shops around town and they mentioned that top mounts needed coating and blankets to control under hood temps to guard against paint possibly getting to hot and to control temps. I had no idea AGP was all ready coated where it needs to be.
