Still at 1100, still time to change order?

I'm currently at 1100, and want to modify my order. I should still have time, shouldn't I?

Absolutely. If the dealer tells you anything different, they don't know what they are talking about. Once you get to 3000 you want to leave it alone, so make your changes ASAP.

I would like to change from 2LT to 2SS. Everything else will remain the same.

Yes you can change your order!

Any order below 3000 you can change, you could go up to 3000 in a flash, so don't wait around too long!

Good choice! You won't regret getting the SS!

In the past I have opted for the lower engine choice, and I have hated it, and wound up trading it in, loosing money, just to get the more powerfull engine.

I am looking to drop down from a 2LT to a 1LT with CC and auto shifter.

Called up my dealership today, I'm still at 1100, and asked if he would be able to do it. He said usually 'big' changes like that could only be done within the first five days of the order. He didn't think it could be done after.

What do I need to do or say to make this happen? thanks

Derek

If the salesman won't do it, go higher up at the dealer....you can change anything until you hit 3000.
And if you've been at 1100 since the end of July, he doesn't even have an allocation for your order. Find a dealer with allocation, you'll have your car in 8-10 weeks. At 1100 GM hasn't even acknowledged the order....(well, they've accepted the order but won't do anything with it until your dealer has an allocation) you can make any change you want. I'd cancel my order, this dealer obviously is not being up front with you about allocation. You need to find out when he'll have an allocation for your order....it could be many weeks before GM even starts acting on your order!!!

67, thanks for the reply.

I have thought as much so thanks for confirming. TBH, I'm not in that much of rush to get the vehicle as I can save a bit more to put down on it when it does come in. Besides, it is a non-refundable deposit unless that doesn't exist either haha.
