Cherry Bomb exhaust
I was browsing YouTube last night and ran across a V6 with Cherry Bomb mufflers.. sounded MEAN! Sounded like an SS in my opinion with a nice exhaust. loud, deep, throaty and mean. Anyone else seen something like this or had it done? Im a little curious about it, would like to see more vids of it and personal opinions. i'll try to find the link again, and post it up for people to see.

I could only find one video and I'm pretty sure the car in it is an SS...

Yeah, that is an SS, and if you ask me, it isn't a very impressive sound. Maybe it sound better on the v6?

No you wernt hearing things.
CherryBomb is the only ones who can hide that you own a V6. What I use on my 3rd gen and since then it turns head and folks ask me all the time whats in it. When they didn't before as it screamed V6 by sound. But the Bombs cover up that V6 sound all the way into the higher band. Now does it sound the best? NO, sounds like a V8 with a ratty muffler, but better then sounding like a V6. Feels nice to see folks break their neck to get a look at whats driving by rather then ignoring it. |

I love my Cherry Bombs. I put them on in July just a couple weeks after I got the car. Everyone that hears them at idle thinks the car is a V8. They do get raspy on hard take offs. I still don't think it sounds like a V8 but it does sound cool. I included a link to some videos I made with my phone so there is no low end in the videos but you can get a general idea.

Well in my case my system is different then what the 5th gen gets but CB know what they are doing. In my case the CB in the bullet type and it hook right at the Y pipe up front, no cat, straight pipe out the back, no axle loop.
Sounds like a V8 with a ratty old rusted out muffler, which may not be so great but it don't sound like a 6 anymore. Took me around 7 different tries with differnet stuff, had the CB in back like stock but it only worked at low speed, gotta get the muffler closer to change the sound sooner/better. Holy crap. Reminds me a little bit of my 1999 Firehawk T/A with the SLP Loudmouth. What I would call the "Angry Dragon".
