Yes it was a G8 GT, my v6 accord puts a few car lengths on the g35 from a roll and like I said anyways.... his exhaust was dumped, he had no mufflers.
Yes I have lost to my friend cai/tb/headers/tune g8 gt in the g35 bad, but stock v6 vs modified v8.... that's expected.

Thunder valley is slick as snot and v8 manual cars on street tires are a PITA to launch and hook there, my friend's mach 1 traps 105 but his best time was 13.8 hitting every gear perfectly. It's a track that's not nice to inexperienced manual(on this surface) drivers.... I was there last weekend and some guys in vq35de's 350Z's were there. One sound straight piped and couldn't break 14's and trapped 95 as best; one had hood off and full bolt ons ran a best of 14.4 @ 98, but he did run 13.6 @ 104 mph on 75 shot of nitrous; then another's best time was 14.6 @ 97.

Back to the point Automatic>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Manual at the dragstrip on street tires.

If he doesn't want to go to dragstrip he's not obliged too.
Like i said, i have nothing to prove and my car is far from stock so you would lose

At a place like thunder valley, it's not about how much power you have.... it's about how much you can actually use. There were 5.0 mustang's, 6.0 GTO's, SRT8 Magnum's, etc. running 14's a few weekends back. At this track it's about traction, not how much power you have. More power just means you will spin more on street tires.... VaderSSL99 and MagnumForceGB on here can attest to this(the traction issues and poor prepping at thunder valley).

i still don't care, lol. How about this put a pro driver in your car and one in mine, what would the outcome be. I wouldn't even waste my time at a track on street tires, I would have slicks.

I give up. lol. Go to thunder valley on street tires and see how difficult it is to get any grip there. Slicks? Not necessary... DR's would be good though. Like Nitto 555r's, my other friend's 2010 mustang gt auto(yes I know 2 people with 2010 mustang gt auto) trapped 101-102 like me with tune, cat/muffler delete but he ran 13.3-13.4 on those tires.

Note the 392 Charger running a 14.0 @ 105.2 mph, to give you some bearing of how bad the track can be sometimes. That's the 2010 mustang gt on dr's I just described.

He put down 306 whp, an L99 typically does 310-330 stock.

He also has a weight reduction, 4.56 gears, lightweight wheels and weighs 3320 lbs without him in it.

So, how can your stock G times beat all of these other car's times even with mods and DR, tune, etc. In your first video, it was night time, so the air temp could have been totally different...meaning it could have helped your run time

I actually live closer to tulsa, which is has a very respectable drag strip, has been featured on the power tour, etc.

G's are nice if you're into that thing, and sure they're quick, but I'd rather have any of the V8 muscle cars.

At what point did anyone in this thread disagree with that?

I have an honest question...

IF G35 (HR) sedans are capable of 13.5-6 as you've stated, what does the 370Z run? I had a 350Z (HR) and everyone kinda agreed that they ran mid 13's or so stock. I'm just generally confused as to how a heavier sedan is getting faster times. Not hating, just honest curiosity. I'm out of the loop on Nissan's for a few years now
