At a place like thunder valley, it's not about how much power you have.... it's about how much you can actually use. There were 5.0 mustang's, 6.0 GTO's, SRT8 Magnum's, etc. running 14's a few weekends back. At this track it's about traction, not how much power you have. More power just means you will spin more on street tires.... VaderSSL99 and MagnumForceGB on here can attest to this(the traction issues and poor prepping at thunder valley).

I give up. lol. Go to thunder valley on street tires and see how difficult it is to get any grip there. Slicks? Not necessary... DR's would be good though. Like Nitto 555r's, my other friend's 2010 mustang gt auto(yes I know 2 people with 2010 mustang gt auto) trapped 101-102 like me with tune, cat/muffler delete but he ran 13.3-13.4 on those tires. Note the 392 Charger running a 14.0 @ 105.2 mph, to give you some bearing of how bad the track can be sometimes. That's the 2010 mustang gt on dr's I just described. |

He also has a weight reduction, 4.56 gears, lightweight wheels and weighs 3320 lbs without him in it. |

G's are nice if you're into that thing, and sure they're quick, but I'd rather have any of the V8 muscle cars.

I have an honest question...
IF G35 (HR) sedans are capable of 13.5-6 as you've stated, what does the 370Z run? I had a 350Z (HR) and everyone kinda agreed that they ran mid 13's or so stock. I'm just generally confused as to how a heavier sedan is getting faster times. Not hating, just honest curiosity. I'm out of the loop on Nissan's for a few years now
