I'm pretty sure this isn't good for the fuel pump.

But why start a thread about something that could damage your car?

That's like making a thread asking how fast you can drive into a tree before the car becomes totaled. The point is that what your asking people to do is not good for their cars, and it shouldn't be promoted.

Maybe you should invest in a pair of glasses as I clearly stated what you should be able to get out of most cars when the light comes on. It even says in some manuals how far you normally go....unless you are doing spirited driving. Worthless thread.

If you want to find out, be my guest. Do it repeatedly and when the pump breaks, come on here and make a thread about how GM sucks, Camaro sucks, and American cars are poorly made.

Instead of telling others to purposely damage their car so you can be informed, go on and do it yourself.

This is a Camaro enthusiast forum. I doubt many C5members have run out of gas since they care about their cars and have the money to keep their Camaro properly fueled.
OTH, I bet many members on Chrysler K-Car forum can tell you exactly how far they can drive on fumes. http://www.chryslerkcar.com/

Forget it. People completey taking something and distorting it. all I can say is. I was looking for a specific type of responce of an experance from a person or persons that this actually happend to and what they had to say about it.

Guess that can not be achieved here without not getting the type of person that this may have happend to, without getting drilled full of holes
