C5 z06 knockoff rims.

I just got my nitto nt05r on the car.however it seems these rims don't have notch to center them on the stud, with the acorn shape of the lug nuts.once in while write going into reverse then back to drive or vice versa they seem to move a little and clunk on the wheel stud. has any one else run into this issue? And should I be worried?

Thanks for your input.

Aren't those the wrong bolt pattern?

If its moving on the studs you shouldn't be driving it. It will shear the bolts off and cause a lot of damage.

I mistyped. They are c6 z06. These specifically http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004SO...?redirect=true

I checked the lugs and tightened them up a little, but without the recess for the lug to center I am a little worried. It was only moving maybe half a millimeter.

Got any close up pics of the lug holes? The only wheels I have seen without the cones for the lugs are shank type wheels like Weld racing wheels.

Wheels should not be able to move at all when tightened down, this is very unsafe.

Ok, I pulled one lug nut off, and I was mistaken. The rims do have the indent for the lug nut to center on. I cannot figure out what is causing this noise. It only makes it when I go from forward to reverse, or reverse too forward. The other thing is maybe it made this noise all along, and I am just paying more attention after the swap. My brother was watching he said he couldn't see the rim moving on the lugs. Maybe it is one of the axles or some brake part. Any thought on how to figure this out? if I should be worried our not?

Thanks again for all the help and replies.

do you have a couple stock wheels to put on and see if it still makes the noise?

You know there is some slack in the drive train, when you go from forward to reverse you pretty much go through all the slack and there make be some noise as a result. Are you an M6 or A6?

Yeah,I know there is some, but I don't remember this clicking noise before the wheel swap. But I may just be paying more attention. I am going to try and throw the stock setup on tomorrow, and see if it is still there. If it is I will be much more at ease. I'll try and grab some video of the noise, but I think the exhaust may drown it out.
