I went with an auto. The trannys shift so nice now I don't see any reason to go with a manual. My C6 had the Z51 performance package with the performance rear gearing (3:42) while my C5 had the standard rear gearing. Trying to compare the different vehicles from my limited driving of the SS would be that it compares more to the C5 corvette than it does to the C6. The bottom line is that I'm pretty happy. Here's a couple pics of my older cars, I couldn't find one of my C6 but I can copy one from the Corvette forum.

I love C5's, but how did the 'wagon wheels' ever get approved for a sports car.
