You can build a better engine for the money one will cost you.

Consider ERL, Kurt Urban, proline or AES for a better built motor AND you could still keep an aluminum setup. I wouldn't.

So you have a 2010 and some money to get it the way you want it . . . I like the LSX concept but you need someone good to build it . . . Just my 2 cents worth.

FI and the LSX 454 don't mix very well plus a LSX block + a FI kit could be a extra 200lbs on the nose of your Camaro. Not such a good thing.

Rusn63, a lot to consider. I can tell that Vader and Litle88 has been around the block. Proceed, but with an open mind. Just saying . . .

Want to buy mine lol? Long story short It's brand new hasn't even been started yet, no warranty. Last one I had (this is my second one) laid 515/475 on mustang dyno with 3800lbs of resistance n/a with full bolt ons. It's pretty sweet I have to say while it was running right. But the headaches I have received between the first motor and the warranty hassle and the dealership canceling my warranty altogether on this one just make it feel like I got the shaft and the balls at the end of it too. It's kinda got me rethinking it.
If I had to do it again I'd probly go custom build. Who knows this may be my chance to do just that hahaha. But seriously the compression is 11:1 not something you want to boost and it is a heavy beast in cast iron. Here's the first one on the dyno http://youtu.be/ThkER-N4vbs

I might be interested , If the price is right lol. 717-932-1199 Is 3800 lb of resistance on dyno the norm ?

I have one and love it. It's only been in for less then a year. If you track your car the added weight might be noticeable, I don't feel it on the street. Did you mean to add the LS7 intake or did you mean FI from a ZR1 or ZL1 ? Keeping it NA is probably the best way to go.

I should have said I was going to use the LS7 intake. Car is used on the street and drag strip. I need to power up as we have some mean 5.0 beating on me. Thanks to all the members for their advice.

A dyno jet has a 2500lb roller, with no added resistance a mustang dyno can add resistance to the roller to more closely match the cars weight for a 'more true to the car' hp number. That's why all the threads about dyno numbers being different. I'm just throwing it out to you the way it was tuned.
