To anyone who might want a True-Fire Custom Painted 2010 Camaro - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey everyone,

This is my first post on these forums and want to introduce myself - my name is Jack and I've been doing custom paint work for a few years now out of a shop in Northern NJ. I own three Camaros: a 1967 that's sittin bubble wrapped waiting for a resto (my first car), a 1970 RS/SS thats almost done & and a 2000 SS that I painted in 2006. Im a huge camaro buff and am happy to see that the long trip to production of the 2010 is finally complete.

I came here because it is the center of the fifth gen universe and for anyone who may be considering getting some custom paint done on their car, I'd love the chance to paint a 2010. I've taken some time to mock up a couple designs and for anymore info you can visit my site...

I'm not familiar with Ghost stripes.

Generally speaking ghost stripes are either a color VERY similar to the original color of the paint OR a translucent pearl/metallic painted in the stripe pattern... The effect is to make the stripes almost invisible

Yes CarJackD
I have Ghost Flames All over My AV in the Thumb. I/S and Out.
I they were done in 3 color of pearl Red,Orange, & Gold on Victory Red
I have the Front hood & Quarters, Powerbar. Dash cover, & Benzle, Mirrors, Antenna, Gas cover, Tailgate, and Rear diff. All flamed!

For the Camaro I want the Stripes but I think Ghosted in orange Yellow Gold would be a bit Different.

Price can vary GREATLY due to complexity of design - but I can use my car as an example...

This paint job (which took 1st place at the East Coast F-Body Nationals </gloat>

) I charge $4000 for... so 50% is a good chunk of savings! If you're interested - shoot me a PM and I can be more specific based on what you might want.

yep - the SATA mini-jet is my weapon of choice for layin down Kandies (but I use an iwata for the airbrush stuff)

Pardon my silly question, but the 4,000 is for just the flames right? it's not for the color of the car and the flames, right?

It includes the prep (disassembly, wet-sanding, masking), paint & booth costs, time in booth & finish (reassembly, wet-sanding, final rub)

my car was quite a project - it required reclearing everything from the doors forward - its a lot of work to do properly
