Looked at a 2016 today
During work today I had some time to kill while waiting to do a job. I just happened to be by a Chevy dealer and saw the SS. Didn't have time to drive it, but sat in it and took a few pics for you guys. Don't really know if it was a 2SS or a SS, I suspect it was an SS, maybe you guys can tell me. Wasn't blown away with it. The stock engine sounded a little better than the stock engine of the 2010 - 2015 SS models. I expected to like the interior a little more than I did. Like others have said the interior is smaller and the trunk space as well. The MYLINK seemed a little awkward looking on the dashboard. I like the side profile of the car, not so much the back. Don't really care for all the creases and folds on the hood. The front reminds a bit of a Toyota, but of course way better. Even with all that, it's still a great car, just not ready to give up mine yet.

It's a 2 SS without NPP for 50 grand. No thanks, glad I bought a 15.
The Gen5 got me out of driving 4x4 trucks for over 20 years... This wouldn't have.

How on earth did the Camaro go from the relaunch perspective of being the affordable sports car to another car pushing its way into the corvette price range? $50K? Rather have a used Viper for that much.

My 2014 2SS/RS was 40K. This is a pretty car, but I'll keep mine thanks.

That car was at a dealer in Hawaii, the dealer added on at least $8,000 per their custom window sticker in the pic; disclaimer: "This is not an official factory sticker".

back end is hideous imho..the whole car is too buzy for my liking...seems like they have tried to hard.. i wont be buying one anyway as chevy are no longer selling cars here. |

At first, the Gen6 look hideous IMO. However, as time has gone by I am starting to be "OKAY" with it. I am by no means a die hard fan of it but I see the attempt Chevy is doing by making a modernized car for their line-up. I would still like to test drive one and sit inside just to check it out to see all that I am supposedly missing out on with my 5Gen... It is a nice car because its got the guts of a corvette stingray and the sex appeal of a European whore, but still I will never buy one at that price point because IMO corvettes are a tad overrated and European whores are cheap (ask me how I know, JK). If and when the 1LE/ZL1 comes out I will wait and make my consensus on whether or not I want to purchase one. Beautiful color BTW |
