Are new Camaros becoming HO-HUM ?
Last week I saw a yellow and black one within a mile of my house. Then a RJT the next day in the same area. Yesteday I drove my SS 5 miles and saw a Victory red at a nearby antique store. Today a black SS with white rallys passed me in the same area. Then this morning on my way up I-91 North of Hartford Ct another SW SS passed me.
Maybe I'm spoiled, but I sure liked it better last year when I was almost the only one around.

A Camaro is still a pretty rare sight on the road these days. I come from a pretty wealthy neighborhood, and I see almost as many Ferrari's as Camaros, and definitely more Porsches.
I passed my friend's dad who drives a Carrera S with my Camaro, and he told me I must let him drive it. The other day I was standing next to the street admiring it with some friends and a bunch of guys in a Jeep pulled over and started asking about it. The Camaro still has spirit! |

Unfortunately, the "new" wears off on all vehicles pretty fast. I was hoping that the numbers will stay limited too, but that is not going to happen...

Maybe it is for the better, I haven't gotten my Camaro yet because I am waiting on the convertible and even then since it will be a convertible it will be pretty rare on the road as well, but that really doesn't matter to me either way.
One good thing about the popularity wearing off is that I really wont have to worry too much about my Camaro when I leave it alone in a parking lot because there will be plenty of them around to gawk at and by then the gawking should decrease significantly. I know right now that the Camaro is a real head turner but I would rather not have a bunch of folks gawlking at me, it's just annoying, its a beautiful car and I just want to enjoy it for what it is and not how many people it can make look at me. It''s just me maybe and to each his own but usually I like to blend in with the woodwork. another thing to remember also is that fact that when there are a bunch on the road then less chance of the cops singling me out because I stand out like a sore thumb. Just my two cents.

Definitely more common than a year ago but i'd still say there are more times I go out driving and don't see a Camaro. If anyone only bought this car because of the attention it brought then they are going to be very disappointed soon as more and more get out on the road.

As with most things in life, the novelty wears off and people get interested in other things...

So far I'm still the only one around and they still pull along side me on the highway with thumbs up. So I'd say they are not ho hum yet.
Its rare that I pass one on the road, and just last weak near the Hudson river bridge in NY a woman pulled up along side me with an SUV with a LUV YOUR Car.

Well... that's the thing about the Camaro... it's not exclusive.. and you feel like you are in some exclusive club when you own one =p Believe me, i've felt how you've felt before. But it's also nice to see more and more Camaros... You instantly have more connection to Camaro owners than any other stranger =p I'd still rather see Camaros fill the streets than Ricer cars you know? Plus, there are millions of aftermarket and OEM things you can customize to make YOUR car YOURS. =D

I see 1-2 a week at most. If they were rare, the Camaro would still be dead. GM brought it back because they could sell gobs of them.

Well, if one wanted 'rare', the Challenger SRT8 would have been the better choice.
I see a lot more Camaros at the local Coffee and Cars in Irvine, CA, but not so many Challengers. The sales figures support this anecdotal observation. I still look at mine and smile, however. |

Its on a rare occasion when I see another Camaro. And when I do... its always the same common colors, Black, SIM, Rally Yellow, & Vic. Red. I enjoy seeing all camaros but especially the colors that are not as common (ABM and SGM)!

There don't seem to be too many in my neck of the woods. I only see maybe 2-3 a week, and that's not just in the boonies where I live, that's near the city too.
I don't care how popular they get, they're still freakin schexy!
