Thought for the Day

And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure.

Thomas Jefferson

Just trying to keep The House lively.

How about that other Armstrong. Talk about having a full set of balls unlike Lance. There is a true American hero.

RIP Neil Armstrong.

..and...I'm done (things not to argue...politics, religion, or criminal proceedings involving athletes or prominent individuals) ....., I am retired from that and have 25 years of "the system" behind me. I've lived it, and most generally see things a bit differently than others, but perception is reality they say. I do appreciate everyone's point of view and opinion! . Lady Liberty may be blindfolded with an even balanced scale, but reality isn't that way I can say with certanty. We now return to our regular programming.

Neil Armstrong rarely spoke to anyone in his years after the Apollo 11 mission. He had much to say. There were many things he could have expanded upon or shared with us. May you rest in peace Neil. One of my hero's.

So what do have left to argue about

You, good sir, may just be too civilized. Rest of us need good debating and such.

Sunday, July 20, 1969, is a day that I will never forget. That was a day when I thought that just about anything was possible (as an example, one could purchase a brand new Z28 for just over $4,000), and that technology would solve almost every problem imaginable. We learn over time that things are rarely as simple as they first appear to be, and that we can never go back, but, at least, we'll always have the memories, or at least, our perception of the memories.
