L99 Vortech Dyno Graph
So here is a 2010 SS with L99 we just finished this morning.
The mod list includes: Vortech Si Trim Supercharger Kit Vortech Fuel Booster 3.33" SC Pulley ARH 1 7/8" Headers w/ cats & x-pipe Flowmaster Exhaust Custom ECM Tune So this car did 317 RWHP SAE stock and we got it to 568 RWHP SAE after all mods & 9.5 lbs of boost. The 1st graph is before and after and the 2nd is with AFR and boost. Sorry we didn't start the runs in the same place on the before runs. |

How do you get and extra 60 HP over all the other vortech L99's? Is it more boost im guessing and is the 9.5 lbs safe on a stock motor?

That paint job looks pretty cool. Not a fan of the wheels though.
What gear was this car dynoed in? Just curious. Is this a 93 octane tune? Nice power numbers! |

well I don't beleive everyone's dyno #'s will read the same (not to slam anyone here) but they do vary... Here's Ted's with it looks like 9.5 boost this sounds more reasonable: an L99 without a cam I don't beleive will get over 530.. Also reading some of your other posts your claiming 8500' correction and the car's up there make 25%-30% less power and it's easy on stock internals .. And you tell customers if they move or plan to leave the state to see you to de-tune so they won't blow up anything at a closer to sea level area ... This may all be correct I don't know but it all sounds weird to me.
ANOTHER JRE VORTECH FINISHED Our friend Erik, had our 370 RWHP street package and decided that wasn't enough to feed his appetite for Horsepower so he gave me a call and we discussed his goals and budget, the Vortech V3 Supercharger system along with our JRE Vortech Upgrade Package, and a JRE tune in 96 degree 80% humidity laid down 504 RWHP 465 RWTQ without even a Hint of Knock activity on 93 pump gas. Along with a set of 4.10 Gears, our Posi Mod, and Billet Main Caps he is set for Drag Strip battle and Street Duty. Ted. Greeting fellow Camaro 5ers. I am the owner of the L99 Mike is discussing and I’m happy to say that I am very pleased with the install Mark & Mike at RMCR finished on my Camaro. Maybe “pleased” is not the correct word, I’m FREAKING excited as hell in the way the install turned out. I’m sure you can argue dyno results all day long, but the bottom line is that when I’m smacking down some Mustang or SRT8 at the track I’m not throwing dyno results in their face, just a lot or rubber and smoke. This car has monstrous POWER and as the owner and the one who writes the check I am not disappointed at all.
I’ve been to RMCR shop numerous times over the past several years and they are not lacking any business, so I’m sure they are not fudging numbers on dyno runs and posting them on Camaro5 just to drum up new customers. Maybe it’s just a pride thing between tuners? But if you’re in doubt, live nearby and fork up the cash, you and dyno my ride any time you like. SonnyakaPig, thanks for the kudos on the pain job! Pictures don’t do my Camaro any justice at all. I’m sure you would change your mind about the wheels if you saw them in person. I’ve attached a better picture of the wheels for a better look. In the Rocky Mountain area, RMCR is well known for their quality craftsmanship, so if you’re in the area stop on by, you won’t be sorry, I wasn’t! Dave |
