Auto Shifter Modification
Since the auto shifter is not an actual mechanical selector and is all electronic, could it be possible to modify it to be like a Ferrari/Laborghini gear selector with buttons? http://automobile.automotive.com/109...orsa-mode.html
I think it would be a nice custom touch. Thanks for any help.

I think it would really clean up the look in the interior IMHO. Along with a leather center piece from DSV Customs.
I'm sure we can get some type of list going. How many people would you need to be interested in order to pursue something like this?

Any timeframe? Thanks a lot.
Ps. - I can be your test "patient". If you make some kind of kit, send it to me and I'll see how it goes...for free. haha

Lol, no clue. We will have to work it in with the other projects we have going on. First thing we will need to do is some research.

For the actual shifting, yes. The Camaro has the same thing on the steering wheel.
In regards to the shifter, the CTS-V uses a booted-shifter as does the auto Corvette.

the L99 has a shifter with a linkage that still moves a switch in the trans valve body and is also used for the park engagement,

Grr. Could we possibly use some type of actuator to move the switch when a button is pressed?
