9 second manual?

I've searched everywhere (including the fast list here), and cannot find a single M6 5th gen in the 9s. Are there really none? Does everyone give up and go auto before they even hit 9s? I was hoping someone here would know about one that isn't on the c5 fast list, or something... Thanks either way!

And please no lectures from the auto guys, I'm well aware that autos are faster.

Its kinda like people get tired of replacing tranny parts more than getting tired of actually trying to get into the 9s. I've got Cobra/GT500 buddys that went auto because of the same issue.

The LPE car got into the 9's with a manual but then they wanted to go faster so they switched to a auto with custom stall converter. I bet its the same for other cars on the list. They might have gone 9's with a manual but then they wanted to stop breaking parts and wanted to go faster.

Other than LPE, no 5th Gen that I know of, shooting to do it my self once I get everything sorted out, there are plenty of 2013 GT500 that have done it with a 6 manual.

Does anyone know what LPE ran? I'm trying to beat this record in the spring before I go auto, I need a goal lol.

And yes 5.0s are running 9's consistently on the shitty ass MT82 so I know we can do it.

I think it was something like mid 9's if I remember correctly. They called it something like the "black pig" at that time a couple of years ago. I think it also was packing an LS9 with a Maggie 2300 as well.

The LPE Black Camaro was the first in the 9's with a M6 and the first in 8's with T400.

The LPE wasn't a true M6. I'm not sure what you call it but you didn't need a clutch to shift it. Nothing like a gen V manual.

Found the times for LPE guys, they were 9.9x at low 140s. Thanks!
Once spring rolls around I'll try and beat that with my Slowmaro:p

Are you talking about a sequential shift manual transmission.

I've seen transmissions that once you launch it with the clutch pedal you can upshift by just pulling the lever and not touch the clutch pedal again. NHRA pro-stock cars have a tranny like that.

Correct, those are the best kinds best of both worlds
