CAI installed today

Installed the CAI intake and it looks great. Did the classic slip on the cover, but the scratch is minimal. I even taped next to the screws, but managed to scratch it anyway. Negative battery cable adjustment was the toughest part of the install, other than that it was easy.

I loved the sound on the test drive, power seemed good, but seemed to have less power in 4th when I floored it.

It's a nice piece, I love mine. What do you mean by negative battery cable adjustment was the toughest part of the install?

On the right inside of the engine bay, there is a ground wire that is attached to the fender. It ran a little interference on getting the top cover on. I was able to move it, but it was very tight.

I think I know what wire you are talking about, it was a pain for me too. Looks really good though!

I just put a new one in my car last night, (I already had one, but bought another one to keep the looks new) and it didnt seem to fit as good as my first one. I had to removed the seal on the edge of the lid just to get it to sit flat. Not too happy with this one.

Thanks for choosing CAI Inc., again!

As for not being happy with the fitment, nothing has changed, the car is the same and the system is done on a CNC machine to the exact same specs every time. We sell thousands of Camaro systems a year and they all fit. Rather than taking parts off of your CAI and trying to make it fit, it would be a good idea to contact us for some technical support. There is a reason you can not get the lid into the proper position, some technical support and troubleshooting will fix the issue and get it installed properly. Call us at the number below.

CAI has a great product and with a little trimming, it can even mate to an Eforce.
