CTS-V's biggest concern isn't the M5
Its the RS6 sedan. Plain and simple.
* 580hp twin turbocharged 5.0l V10 * Sophisticated AWD system * Massive ceramic disc brakes * Ultra advanced Tiptronic tranny w/ shift times down to one tenth of a second * Did I mention it also looks gorgeous |

That's not even the same category. You can't compare a twin-turbocharged V10 with a V8. That's not a remotely fair comparison. If you could make such a comparison, it would only be embarrassing to the V10 company.
Audis all look the same to me. They're so bland—almost the Honda of luxury cars.

I dont care what you all say that car looks better than the cts-v, I am saying overall looks not just one thing. I love the front of the cts-v but the rear I dont like much. This rs6 is insane but unfair to put in the same category.

Exactly. The CTS-V has this look that screams, "I'm a kickass car." The Audi...not so much.

Why are you all saying the Audi is in a differnt category. Its a super powerful midsized sedan just like the CTS-V. If your talking about the price, its the deal with the E63 and M5.

I agree I think they are in the same category. And I also think that you will see similar times out of them. I bet once a great drive has them both, they will both be in the 11's 1/4 mile. Now 0-60 the Audi should own b/c of the launch from AWD but then the powertrain loss of AWD and weight will takes its toll in the 1/4 and the CTSV will probably gain some ground back.
I think it is a fair comparison. Now in the twisties its probably all Audi. Interior comfort and ammenities could be a toss up. The new caddy's are sooooo nice inside. Both nice cars |

Different category IMVHO. Lets spend that extra 30k difference on that Caddy and watch it smear the Audi in every aspect. Both are pretty though and ya, the Caddy looks mean as hell.

Price doesn't change a category of car though. If that were the case then no cars are comparable. You could always use the well if I took a corolla and put in the $5000 between that and the civic I could romp the civic.
You can't play that game. Same market, same buyers would look at both cars. |
