Question Looking to remove RS chrome trim on 14 ss

Anyone remove the chrome trim on the front grille and headlights?
I've seem people replace the grille with the z28 grille and it looks great but they leave the chrome trim around the headlights.
I know there will be a visible hole on each side but anyone else just say screw it and removed all the chrome trim?

I dont think you can remove the chrome trim on the headlights because it will leave a void. Most people just wrap the trim above the headlights and delete the center for the z28 grill.

+1.

I've read threads about this and they just wrap the Chrome into a different color.

I just did the rs conversion today on my non-rs ss. No hole for me since it did not come with the hid's from the factory. (The factory rs models will have a small rectangular hole on the corner. I'm not sure how much this picture will help but this is without the chrome trim, their is a small led strip at the very top that serves really no purpose as it does not light up. Curious why gm put that there in the first place if anyone knows? anyways you only notice it if you sit down as in the way this picture was taken. I also have the z28 grill (mine came with it from the factory)

I used "black out tape" (sold at most car parts places). Took me 10 minutes and can be removed in seconds at anytime.

I think I might try removing the trim and cover the holes with black vinyl

I think it looks so much better without the RS chrome trim

I agree, although with them blacked out they are a lot harder to see and look pretty good, but it just bugs me on the headlight chrome strip where it bulges if you look at it from the side.

Divided the chrome into sections, easier to handle this way. The vertical one just wraps around the back. Used a plastic putty knife to smooth it.
