Trunk release please help!

I can’t open my trunk. When I push the bottom on he door I hear a clicking noise. I can access by opening the seat.

If I pull the emergency release in the trunk will it remain open? Any suggestions? It’s fridgid cold so not sure if that is effecting it.

Please help!!

It will not be stuck in the open position. The emergency release just leleases the lock. Once you close the lid it will relock. As for your trunk button issue, ck the fuse maybe its blown or maybe it's the cold as your thinking.

I may not be reading this right but if you pop the e-release you will still have to use some effort to open the deck lid. Our trunks do not fully open on their own.

I would start with getting that battery checked unless it has been replaced from original...just sayin...

Ok the release worked and I’m able to open the trunk. However, the remote and door bottom still don’t.

I've been having problems with my trunk. I hear the clicking noise when I press the buttons. If I push down on the trunk as I hit the button, it works 100% of the time. Just a quick fix to keep in mind

There is a TSB for this and an updated designed latch. I had mine replaced a couple years ago on my 2011 SS. Did the exact same thing as you're describing.

The click you're hearing is the relay. Which means the bottom on the door, the remote button and the relay are working. So it's a latch or wiring problem.

You are right on track. I checked the fuse and it’s good, the relay is making the clicking noise.

Was this TSB a recall? Was it expensive? I’m not too technical, but anything I can do to fix it?

Do the TSB's only cover warrantied vehicles/original owners?

If not, I need to check my 2010 SS L99 for any. I am not an original owner so I wouldn't have gotten any notification.

I'm pretty sure I have the TSB on my computer at home. I'm at my cabin for the weekend, but I'll look for it when I get back.
