Header wrap question.

Does anyone who wrapped their headers remember how many feet of material was used. Going to wrap KOOKS long tubes?

I searched and some old posts recommend 100' for both sides together. https://www.google.com/search?q=head...iw=412&bih=708

I had 100’ to wrap mine on with a turbo set up though. Goes faster than you think.

Thanks for the answers everyone. Crash76 I did have them coated but l am looking for a little more temperature reduction on track days. Silver14 thanks for the link. I did a search on the forum and fewer answers were returned. tamucc2004 I have placed the order for 100' of DEI Titanium wrap. Did you have a lot of fibers come off the wrap or did you use fiberglass wrap?

Mine are coated without wrap, im pushing 750ish HP on E85, no heat issues when I track

No personal experience but ive read that header wrap can ruin your headers... might have been with cheap metal construction though...

Good luck amigo!

Carbon steel headers will disintegrate over time under wrap, and even 304 stainless will start to have issues over time due to retained heat and moisture.
