Moving to Newark DE
Hey guys,
This probably seems a bit early but my wife and I are moving to Newark DE at the end of July. Just wondering if there are any good Camaro clubs or events in the area. We live in Minneapolis now and have done a few events with the Northstar Camaro Club here in MN that were actually a lot of fun. Also I see DE has a no tint law (I have 50% on mine) shouldnt have trouble getting a medical waiver if thats what I need to be legal. Im guessing it has to be a doctor in DE?

Hey Man, welcome to DE prematurely of course. There are a couple of clubs that exist and are mentioned in this sub forum a little farther into the pages. The new DE Camaro Club I think is still in its infant stages and isn't quite up and rolling yet. You can check out firststatefbody.com as well. We have a "lunch" meet every month it will have the details on the site. Its in Dover at McGlynn's on N State St.
As far as the tint, yes you will need to get a medical waiver doctor or eye doctor Looks like we can have a good argument over who's car looks better yours and mine are very similar hahahaha

Heh...all a matter of taste when it comes to these cars. Personally silver is always a favorite on cars...especially the camaro. (and Im all about understated mods)

Lived there ALL my life.Newark USE TO BE the place to cruise,now it is illegal.WHAT We put on a CRUISE on the Kirkwood Highway the 2nd Saturday of August for the last 2 years.Thats August 13th this year.It is a mile outside of Newark.Hope to SEE you there.I will post flier after i update it.

I live in Middletown, DE. Just purchased my Summit White SS. Unfortunaltely, it is stored for the winter. I only drove it home from the dealer in PA to my house which was only 60 miles. I can't wait for the spring!!!!! And welcome "Pre-maturely" to Newark. I used to live in Newark and moved to Middletown about 4 years ago. You will like the area!

You can check out SEPA5. We try to get together once a month from spring through fall. Alex puts it together. Not to far from Newark. The Delaware Valley Camaro Club has a great camaro car show in the Spring, on the riverfront.

Race proven motor sports usually has a big meet sometime in the spring. the food has been great and lots of sweet cars there. Really good time.
