How often do you guys switch gears. ie. from 1st to 2nd, from 2nd to 3rd.. etc..
i usually switch gears every 3000 RPMs. is this good or bad?

I take it you probably havn't driven stick before or not much.It varys.I typically shift in the 3000 range unless I'm into it. which has been a lot since 2500 miles.I probably shift at 6000 way to often.

Just depends on the mood. If i'm just loafing along, I usually shift at 2500.

I don't watch the tach; I go by feel. I think I shift around 2-2.5K if I'm driving easy and 4-5K when I'm in a bit of a hurry.

It all depends on the way you drive. The lower the RPM's you shift, the better the gas mileage you get (that is, if your foot isn't slamming down on the gas for 2 seconds per shift).
