Lambo Vertical Doors - Suppliers Review

http://www.dreamcarcustom.com/CAMARO_KITS.html

Has anyone fitted these and have an opinion of the product please?

I know about LSD and VDI Lambo Doors, but I kinda like the double Pistons on these as a failsafe.

No Bitch'n or Selling please, just honest feedback.

Thanks,

In all honesty if you want vertical doors go with VDI. I've never heard good things about any other brand of hinge. Vertical doors inc holds all the major patents for these hinges. They have the superior design. I've had 0 problems from mine.

Dtrimpi87, I was a bit worried about the ©issue most of all TBH.

babytiger, I was considering getting out my JigSaw & Files and inventing my own.
After getting them to the UK and fitting them it will be the best part of $3,226 :-O !!

for that price u might as well get the VDI kit its cheaper and has been out for a while and has many reviews. only thing i saw good about this one is no cutting fender. they door does not open as far, making the kit come up closer to the hood. i have VDI kit and im pretty please. i would do it any other way unless they were cheaper! no point in spending MORE money and a new version of the same kit or try to find the people who own those camaros and talk with them. check my sig to see my doors

Shipping/Postage, ParcelForce or UPS Handling Fee and UK Import Tax starts to ruin any Dreams.

Damn man, I know your overseas but it would really cost that much to have hinges shipped over there? The hinges are only $1000.

Dtrimpi87, http://www.verticaldoors.com/chevrolet_2010_camaro.html are $1699

Shipping quoted at $360
Handling (allow) $80 by UPS or ParcelForce
Import Duty at 20% = $428 minimum (there's some weird cost scale to it all)
So $2567* so far for this one cheaper make.

I'm really after hinges that do not require cutting out the middle fender/wing support and don't require me stripping down the whole front end of the Camaro to fit the hinges :-O

Which is why I was looking at :http://www.dreamcarcustom.com/CAMARO_KITS.html ... who will also paint the hinges parts to match you Camaro before they send them :-)

And I don't have a Garage for long-term cover, and I don't trust most Car dealers over here with my Camaro.

So there's my logic so far.
Thanks for listening to me whine on :-)

* allowing spare money for issues on my first price ballpark FYI.

the cutting the fender is the EASIEST part. the fitment and adjustments are whats a pain! and the instructions are HELLA easy to follow

Yes it's really a straight forward install. Cutting the tab on the inside of the fender does not weaken the fender in any way. Also if you call VDI and tell them your on Camaro5 you can get the hinges less than $1000. The website just shows their normal advertising price. I got the hinges and installation for $900 out the door but I'm also only 1hrs away from them.

On their site they are listed at $1700 not $1000...
