Question September Relase date Camaro?

Hi I talked to

PITTSBURGH , PA 15235 -1948

and apperently there clueless because they said that the camaro will be available in September, and I asked about pricing they said GM has not released pricing. I asked about a waiting list and he said We're just taking names down and when It comes in we'll let you know.

Is The Camaro Comming out in September>? This Can't Be true
Every Camaro Website and Press release says february and available in March What do you think?

I know we would all love to have the 2010 Camaro in September.

I'm curious why there's a tire poll in this thread....

Anyways, it would be ideal, but they still need to fit the assembly plant in Oshawa, and they need to train the workers, etc. On top of all that, they're still testing...

Don't look to buy a Camaro in Sept....and after this, don't look to buy a Camaro from these people.

September is the Indy Bash, where the awesomeness that is the production Camaro will be unveiled for the first time ever, and to the Camaro enthusiast Community.

But the first quarter of '09 is when you can begin to purchase said awesomeness.

Since Indy bash will apparently feature a production 5th-gen, I'd say its safe to assume that it will be one of the 1st cars to roll off the line.....

That being said, I'm sure Q1 is a much safer bet for them to actually start showing up at dealerships.

My personel, very speculative, very wishful opinion is that by Christmas there will be production Camaros showing at major marketing events. Thats just IMO.

Dave sounds like a nice salesman but he's wrong. Feb or March before we the consumers can buy our Camaros. They will be making 30 camaros after October but I believe that's for the hi-up guys, checking the Camaro out and any last say so's on it.

Be patient, 2009 is coming.

October is a pilot build they will give to managers and engineers to final test. Any glaring issues can be addressed.

Monday Feb.16th is the scheduled start of production Camaros. Dealers will see cars coming in late Feb., early March depending on distance from Oshawa.

I've posted this here a few times and fbodfather never said nope -nope -nope

My local dealer was told to expect Camaros in March.

There's 296 days 'till Feb. 16. I put a countdown gadget on my desktop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Circle Monday, February 16, 2009 on your calendar as the date the new 2010 Camaros will start heading down the production line at the Oshawa plant in Ontario.

In actuality, this means it will more than likely be mid-March before you'll be able to put your hands on one at a dealership. That puts Camaro availability about a year behind that of its nearest rival, the Dodge Challenger.

A few GM higher ups have stated that the General will start making Camaros in late 2008. That's true, but, a little misleading. Salable, pilot build, Camaros will be the cars rolling down the line in late 2008. This run of cars will be given to engineers, execs and managers to drive for some fast feedback on any last minute changes that might need to be made to the car or the production process. This production run will not be available to the general public to buy.

For those seeking a convertible Camaro, you'll have to wait until Monday, December 7, 2009 — a little bit late for the 2009 convertible season in northern climates. Look for them to start showing up at dealers in late December or early January depending on where you are in the United States.

It's also worth mentioning that these dates are valid as of today. If the Camaro program should hit a snag in its final testing regimens, delays of several days to a few weeks or months are always possible, but unlikely.

GM executives have publicly said Chevy expects to sell over 100,000 Camaros per year with pricing for the V6 model starting in the $20,000 range.

I'm glad to see new people coming to this site each and every day...but just about every post I've seen by ProCamaroSS has been a poll...and for the most part...they haven't been helpful, I'm just curious as to why. Why not just post your thoughts? There are a ton of threads that talk about the things you're polling about. Just post in there

Did I seem angry? If I did, well, then I'm sorry, you've misunderstood my emotional state. And I wouldn't say that I take everything so seriously...but alright. With all due respect, I didn't track you down. I simply stumbled upon the same poll on two separate websites...I also think it's a little harsh saying that no one cares what I have to say. I'm well aware that you don't, and that's perfectly ok. Again, with all due respect, I don't mind polls that are well-informed...like this one...it seems fairly genuine. You're looking for opinions or hard facts regarding the release date. I can understand that...but there are others that I just don't get. But once again, Pro, I apologize if I've offended you. There have been people that have responded to your polls...including ME! I just thought that there were probably already threads that had been made regarding many of the things that your polls were designed to address. If you would like to make polls, you are more than welcome to, in fact that's the beauty of this website. So once again, I apologize and realize that what I said before was more an idea than trying to bash you or put you down.
