Elbow in the cup holder

I did a SEARCH on this, and didn't really find anything, so my apologies if this has been asked already......

I test drove a 2SS 6MT today, and it was great, except for one ergonomic glitch: when I positioned the seat so I could reach everything, my elbow was in the cup holder.

I forgot to ask the salesman, but I'm wondering if there is any way to move the armrest forward? My last car had an "extended mode" for the armrest.

Alternately, is there any kind of aftermarket "plug" to fill in the cup holders with more armrest?

Thanks in advance.

Wikipedia says the average height for a man in the US is 5' 10" tall, so I'm slightly below average.

LOL. I thought it was a dumb place for the cup holder too. Its fine for the auto, but If I put a tall drink in it and try to shift, the drink is in the way.

I'm 5'6" and I'm thinking about making my own arm rest fill-in.

Im really surprised that the armrest doesnt move forward. Our 09 Malibu does and its GREAT. I love that about the car. The armrest just slides forward.

Think about it, a Camaro is a muscle car and if its gonna have movable bits and pieces, its no longer a muscle.

I really love it the way it is.

A muscle car doesnt have autodiming, bluetooth and all that other crap too. Come on now. How hard is it to make the armrest move back and forth to make the car just a tad bit more comfortable which I think is a big selling point of the car right?
