P.C.V GROMMET...ELBOW SHAPED
Help me out guys.....I have a 2002 Z-28 cam. Here is the problem....under the hood where the pcv valve is there is a little rubber hose that connects from it to the intake....it's a weird looking 90 degree angle looking rubber tube.
Ok the problem is no one sales this item....I have tried Autozone,Oreilly's....they do not sale this 1 1/2 inch rubber hose and I just contacted the dealship that is close to me and they do not sale just the one piece they sale the whole thing including the pcv valve itself...hoses and the 1 little hose I need for.....$111.00 bucks!!! I nearly hit the floor.....no way am I paying that...one guy reccomended I try the junk yard but when I went to 2 they both were closed....what junk yards are closed on the weekends!! Anyways I live in the Ft.Worth Texas area if anyone could point me in the right direction or a website I could get this item I would appreciate it. Thanks Guys!! |

Looking at mine, all you need to do is break out a ruler, measure the diameter of the hose, go to the parts house, buy some bulk rubber hose, cut to length, drink a beer. If its not the piece the pcv valve sits in and its the one right off of the intake, there is nothing special about it, just spend $.50 and put something on that fits.

I would say just buy some 1/2 (if that is the correct measurement) heater hose and cut to fit.

No problem. It is getting harder to find replacement parts for 4th gen F-bodies. In fact not too long ago I had to replace an intermediate shaft in an 01 Trans Am, and my parts guy told me GM/ACDelco didn't carry the part number anymore. We had to get it used from an aftermarket place.

Man Bowtie that sucks....yea I am hearing it is harder to find replacement parts for the 4th gen...I hate that. I bought my Cam z-28 back in 02 when all it had was 3 miles on it....good days....the car has never given me any problems...I love my car and would hate to part with it. I am just holding on for as long as I can...my dream is to have a 4th gen and 5th gen in the garage....I would trade my 4th gen though for a 1st gen...preferably a 69 SS...a man can dream can't he.....LOL!!!

I am looking forward to gettign a 5th gen...just not right now....my 4th gen has been paid off for some time now and I love having the extra money....plus I get to upgrade some stuff on my 4th gen which I still get compliments about. I am going to TRY and give it another 2 years before I get another one. Sure is hard though to hold out when I will be seeing them on the road.

How do you think it is on our 5th gens. It doesn't look spacious at all...
