Looking for catback for long tube headers

l am looking for a new catback exhaust system for my car and was considering an ARK N2 or DTS when I found Solo Performance Exhaust Mach X w/ J Pipes for an amazing price $899 at Apex motor sports.

Will this system rasp or drone with my current set up? I want a decent cat back that will sound clean and aggressive with 0 rasp.

Any videos or sounds clips would be great. Any cat back in combo recommendations with LT headers would be awesome as well.

The only cat-back your going to find with zero drone is the dts. The solo is actually one of the louder cat-backs out there so chances are your going to get rasp. Ask sixjack, he had the solo with long tubes.

Did he have J pipes and his car rasped? I am more concerned about rasp than drone.

J pipes are just for drone. They do nothing for rasp.

I have first hand experience with the LT + SOLO setup since I met with SIXJAK when he had the setup. He was using Stainless Works LT headers and the SOLO catback with J-pipes.

First off, for as loud as it was, there was not much drone. The J-pipes work...there was some drone, but not as bad as you'd think. Livable.

The system definitely had rasp...but I would not describe it as the terrible sounding whiny pitchy sound that say muffler deletes have. This was more of a "get the hell out of my way" growl. It was aggresive, but in a good way (if you like loud lol). At low and mid rpms it had a low tone and a nice rumble.

While driving we actually had a kid in a Mustang GT pull over with us and he told us he figured it was a V8 Camaro.

Go to the exhaust sticky and search at the bottom for the Stainless Works LT header section...there are several good videos of his old setup there.

As for the ARK...you can't go wrong with LT headers and the DTS system in my opinion.

You are currently having RASP issues even with the added X pipe?

Most of us have reduced or eliminated the RASP with the addition of the X pipe.

I have to agree.

I just assumed the OP was looking for a different sound perhaps?

With magnaflow mufflers and the res X there should be very little rasp. You can't get much less rasp than that unless maybe the rear mufflers are a different design than I'm thinking. Again ARK DTS also basically eliminates the rasp from what I've seen.

No I just want a catback for a little more power and better sound, I am still not happy with my exhaust set up. I still have some whine but its not as bad, I think it might be my CAI I am hearing now.

ARK DTS or N2? The N2 seems pretty nice.

Got it.

I went with MRT's first. 2 years later I added the LT's and X pipe. I was never planning on spending the money for the rest of the cat back pipes that I didn't see the bang for the buck.

Knowing what I know now (which the ARK's were not around 3 years ago), I would go ARK and LT's

We do currently have our SEMA sale going on, if you are interested or if you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

Here's a thread with a few comparisons if you would like to check it out. There are videos of the DT-S exhaust as well with long tube headers.

I see you found the vids of SIX's car with the ARK setup.

Here is exactly what you'd have with your BBKs and the ARK DTS. Can't think of any take off or drive by vids at low to medium throttle
