Mine is tapped into the Side Marker lights. So anytime the side markers are on, it is on. (Which is anytime during hours of darkness.. perfect)
The wheel well liner has to get removed, or moved out of the way to provide access up in there.

Thanks. I was trying to the parking light but it's not working. Where did you run the ground wire to?

There was a pretty decent sized bolt up there in the wheel well I just tapped into. I was already there tapping into the side markers, so seemed like a logical choice. It worked great, so I have no reason to change it.

Thanks for the info... I guess I will try the side marker because the parking light just isn't working.

It was the only "Logical" choice. Look at the side markers when you get a chance. Headlights come on, they are on. Unlock the car with the keyfob, they are on.. nothing like walking to your car in the dead of night, unlocking the car from 50 feet away and seeing that Chevy symbol roar into life beckoning you over like a waiting friend..

Just helping him with his question. I'll stick with what I have, as it is custom fabricated and no one else on the road has one like it. What it lacks with "Uniformity" at night, it makes up for during the daytime with color matched paint.
Still running ideas through my mind as far as how to make it brighter/more uniform.. but the main goal of the project was to make sure it didn't look "Altered". Wanted it to look stock, then shock people when it turned on at night.

I finished mine, was able to actually tap into the parking light, was using the wrong wire previously (as there are three wires).
